I have just received my brand new Android DiveMaster Enforcer with the T100 tritium tubes and the sun ray purple dial, in the 45mm case (there is also a 50mm), and I must say, I am nothing short of impressed.
This is one of the best values in a watch that I have come across. I did buy it in like new condition from my good friend Dominic “Ultraman” Siow, but it was at a price very close to the price that Wing Liang and Android were offering them brand new on ShopNBC. Unfortunately it sold out within the hour, but the 50mm version remains. Read more…
For a staggeringly low price (which has since gone up, but still a steal), you get a full on dive watch, rated at 200 meters of water resistance, T100 tritium tube luminescence, a workhorse Seiko NH15 automatic movement, a very heavy duty 5mm thick integrated bracelet, a very tight 120 click unidirectional rotating bezel, and the list goes on.
The main emphasis here are the T100 tritium tubes. Not many companies have the capabilities or the licensing to be able to use this much tritium in a watch. It is a very sensitive material, as each tube contains a radioactive component that allows the watch to glow continuously throughout the day and night without having to be charged under a light source whatsoever. The luminescence of these tubes is said to last upwards of a staggering 10 years. Wing Liang (owner and head designer of Android) also wisely used the brightest form of tritium, which is the green color. I can say, it is like having Chernobyl on your wrist!
As stated, this is one of the best bangs for the buck I’ve ever purchased, and would recommend it to anybody who would like to add a T100 watch to their collection. Not only does it have the tubes, but it is an extremely heavy duty, well built watch.
I have not purchased many Androids in the past, but this watch has officially hooked me for the foreseeable future. I can proudly say, I am now a “Droid Head”.
